Psychic Protection Tips

Protecting your energy is always a good idea but it is especially important right now while the world feels like it’s in a constant state of upheaval. Walking around unshielded can be detrimental to your health. Learning the art of psychic protection isn’t hard, or complicated as some people make it seem.

Did you know that protecting your energy is crucial to your overall health? Focusing on happiness, joy, and loved based emotions is great but we must take these steps for self care to protect ourselves psychically.

I believe it’s important to have as many tools in your toolbox as you can! I also believe in order to continue to grow as a person you need to keep learning!!

I have several sub-categories you can learn tips and tricks from.

Psychic protection: Start protecting yourself by setting your intention for protection by saying something like,

“I ask that the highest and best surround me. 

I close my aura to everyone, except my higher self. 

Everyone else must go in peace.”

Shielding

Donna Eden’s Zip Up Technique

Eden says, “it strengthens your aura & chakras, it can clear confusion and doubt, and it supports you in finding the courage to move forward!”

This technique can calm the nervous system and bring the body back into balance.

  • Rub your hands together, flick off the energy, and then imagine a zipper from your root chakra up to your throat chakra.
  • Pull the zipper up from your root to your throat. I personally like to turn it at the top like a key.
  • Bonus tip you can also work in a positive affirmation along with this! Bonus tip 2 is I often apply essential oils like bergamot, valor or orange to my hands before I start.

Bubble Mirror Technique by Daniele Hughes

I imagine a protective bubble surrounding me. I use this as a spiritual bouncer. Imagine a beautiful white bubble that surrounds you on all sides. This bubble keeps you safe from other people’s emotions, thoughts, energy, and negativity. This bubble is impenetrable! When I know I am walking into a difficult situation I put up my bubble. I also like to put a mirror on the outside of this to reflect others’ junk back at them. It’s a spiritual boundary that keeps cords from others from forming.

Bonus tip: I like to apply Lavender essential oil to my hands before I start the meditation. I rub them together, then working downward from my head to my feet, I wipe the lavender through my aura fanning outwards. I flick off the energy, then I begin to imagine the bubble.

Chakra Shield Bubble by Emily Dexter

  • Visualize each chakra emitting their specific color light.
  • Start at the Crown chakra and send that light all around you like a bubble. Do each chakra.
  • Each layer reinforces your bubble with layers of color, as it grows larger

Clearing

Cord cutting is relatively easy to do and you can do it virtually anywhere. There are several ways to do this with or without Archangel Michael.

“Archangel Michael I ask you to cut the cords to people, places, and things that no longer serve me in my past, present or future. I gratefully ask that you use your blue sword of light to cut the cords on my left side, my right side, my front, my back, my top and my bottom. And so it is.”

Non-Denominational Cord Cutting

1. Think of the person you would like to release from your energy. This is a very simplistic way to do it, and if you are at all uncomfortable seek someone who specializes in this.

2. Visualize the cord being cut (you can pick whatever object you like to cut this cord a sword, dagger, knife, finger, spoon whatever makes you happy.) Say in your head, “I release you in love and light.”

3. Try and check in with yourself each night and ask yourself, “Do I have any cords or attachments with anyone I met today?” If you do, try the exercise above. *You can also try cutting the cord with your own hand if visualization is more difficult for you.

Clearing Waterfall Technique by Emily Dexter

  • 1. “Any thoughts, feelings, emotions, or energies that aren’t mine must leave my space now.”
  • 2. Picture a waterfall of white light washing through you starting at the Crown chakra and working downward into the Earth.

Grounding

Grounding Energy Capping by Emily Dexter:

Hold your dominant hand on top of Crown Chakra for 30 seconds. While doing this I like to say, “I am grounded.”

Grounding Meditation: Get as comfortable as we can with our feet flat on the ground. 

  • Take a breath in through your nose and exhale through your mouth.
  • I want you to visualize roots growing out of your feet or brain. These roots twist, turn, and grow down through the house, into the dirt, and down all the way to the core of the Earth.
  • When you reach the core the roots wrap around it. The Earth’s love and support are represented by white light which pours into the roots. 
  • Send that white light all the way back up the roots and into your feet. As soon as the white light hits your feet it cleanses every cell in your body.
  • It works its way up your feet, into your legs, past your hips, into your stomach, up past your heart, into each of your arms where pours out your hands, it moves up through your neck, into your head and shoots out of your crown chakra like a beautiful waterfall.

Earthing:

The most common way to use earthing is walking barefoot on the earth whether that be dirt, sand, grass, or even snow. When we walk barefoot we allow a transfer of electrons between our body and the Earth. That transfer spreads throughout our tissues which supports your body to have the same level of electrical frequency as the Earth which is called grounding.

You can also try an earthing mat to help you when perhaps it’s too cold where you live to walk barefoot. I only recommend Dr. Mercola’s earthing mats. Yo

Energy Check-In

“Is this my energy?  Listen for the answer in your head, it may sound like your own voice answering you. If it is not your energy or you suspect it is not. You can return the energy to the sender. This is a great solution for energy vampires. In your head or out loud say, “This is not my energy, I return this energy back to its sender with love.” This sends all of the energy that is not yours back to the person, place or thing that it belongs to wrapped in positive intentions. Speaking your intentions out loud is very powerful vs saying it in your head.
