There are quite a few things in my kitchen I can honestly say I have never cleaned until now! Let me clear I am no clean freak but germs are everywhere. The kitchen is a pretty dirty place, and I clean it almost daily.
As a mom of two highly active kids there is a lot to clean up after. I thought I was doing a pretty good job keeping our house free of germs and most chemicals. Then I came across an article that made me rethink that. http://www.today.com/home/10-germy-spots-your-kitchen-you-dont-know-about-how-2D79684425
So, today I busted out my Young Living Thieves Cleaner bottle and went to town on my knife block, can opener, toaster, coffee maker, refridgerator (I certainly don’t clean it often enough,) my blender gasket, and all of my plastic spatulas! I have a premade spray bottle with 16 oz of distilled water and 2 capfuls of Thieves Cleaner and I got down to business cleaning. Then it came time to clean the knife block. How in the world can I clean that?
So I got out my big bucket and filled it with warm water and 2 capfuls of Thieves cleaner. I put the block inside and let it sit for 15 minutes. When I came back I was amazed at how clean it already looked. I grabbed an old tooth brush and a pipe cleaner and cleaned all those knife holes. I hand washed the block once more and rinsed it off with cool water. Not only is it sparkling clean it smells amazing!
